What is the 10-step Korean routine?
It’s the full sequence of Korean skincare, from lightest to richest: oil cleanser, foam cleanser, exfoliant, toner, essence, serum, mask, eye care, cream, and sunscreen in the morning. You can shorten it: the essentials are cleanse, moisturize and protect.
Do I need to do every step every day?
No. The Korean routine adapts to your skin and your time. A short routine (cleanser, toner, serum, cream, sunscreen) is enough day to day; masks and exfoliants are added once or twice a week.
What is double cleansing?
First remove makeup with an oil or balm, which dissolves makeup and sunscreen, then cleanse with a water-based cleanser. Skin is clean without being stripped.
What’s the difference between essence, serum and ampoule?
Essence is the lightest and preps the skin. Serum is more concentrated in actives, for a specific need. Ampoule is even more concentrated, often used as a treatment.
How do I choose products for my skin type?
