VIVELAB: frequently asked questions

Is VIVELAB a good brand? Reviews and reputation

VIVELAB (바이브랩) is a Korean scalp care brand run by Soonnoc, a company based in Seoul. Korean beauty press describes it as a research-driven hair care brand with in-house actives such as ActiveGrow BP7 and Spioxyl. On its Naver store and website, its most-wanted products are the Revi Solution Scalp Shampoo, the Revive Therapy Hair Brow Lash Serum and the Active Biotin Peptide Solution Scalp Shampoo.

Is VIVELAB a Korean brand?

Yes. VIVELAB is a South Korean brand operated by Soonnoc ((주)순녹), based in Seoul. In Korea it sells mainly online, through its own website and its Naver store. You'll find our full selection in the VIVELAB collection.

Which VIVELAB shampoo should I choose for my scalp?

VIVELAB has two signature shampoos. The green Revi Solution Scalp Shampoo is the brand's everyday base formula. The blue Active Biotin Peptide Solution Scalp Shampoo, with biotin and peptides, has a cooling feel that oily scalps tend to love. Can't decide? The Scalp Shampoo Travel Size comes in green or blue in a 100 ml bottle, so you can try one before the full size.

What's the difference between the green and blue VIVELAB shampoos?

At VIVELAB, the green Revi Solution shampoo is the base formula, designed to pair with the Revi Solution Scalp Protein Treatment. The blue Active Biotin shampoo is built around the brand's ActiveGrow BP7 complex of biotin and seven peptides, with a cooling effect for scalps that get oily fast.

How do I use a VIVELAB Spioxyl ampoule?

In the evening, apply it section by section to a clean, dry scalp, then massage with your fingertips and leave it on. The micro-spicules in the Scalp Spioxyl React Shot 400 cause a light, normal tingle that fades quickly. Start with the 400, then move to the Scalp Spioxyl React Shot 600 or Scalp Spioxyl React Shot 800 once your scalp is used to it.

Do VIVELAB Spioxyl micro-spicules tingle?

Yes, a little, and that's intended. According to VIVELAB, Spioxyl spicules are natural micro-needles much smaller than a pore, paired with brewer's yeast. The tingle is gentlest with the 400 and stronger with the 600 and 800. Don't use them on an irritated or broken scalp.

In what order should I use VIVELAB products?

VIVELAB recommends this order: shampoo, then conditioner, then a scalp ampoule or tonic. For example: Revi Solution Scalp Shampoo, Revi Solution Scalp Protein Treatment on the lengths, then Revive Therapy Hair Scalp Enhancing Foam or Revive Therapy Hair Scalp & Brow Ampoule on a towel-dried or dry scalp. The brand suggests at least four weeks of regular use.

Are VIVELAB products a hair loss treatment?

No. In Korea, several VIVELAB shampoos and treatments are registered as "functional cosmetics", a regulatory category specific to Korea. In Europe they are cosmetics: they cleanse, strengthen hair and help keep your scalp healthy, with no medical effect. If you're losing a lot of hair, talk to a doctor or dermatologist.

How do I use the VIVELAB lash serum?

Apply the Revive Therapy Hair Brow Lash Serum at night as the last step of your routine, along the lash line, on your brows or along the hairline. VIVELAB's black-tinted Hyper Curling Black Lash Serum goes on in the morning like a light mascara. You'll find both together in the Hyper Curling Black Lash Serum & Hair Brow Lash Serum Set.

Which VIVELAB product is best for damaged hair?

Go for VIVELAB's Protein Plumper line: the Protein Plumper Repair Shampoo to cleanse without drying, the Protein Plumper Repair Hair Mask Treatment for three to five minutes after shampooing, then the Protein Plumper Repair Hair Milk Essence on your lengths before blow-drying or straightening. All three come together in the Protein Plumper Repair 3-Piece Set.

Is VIVELAB for men or women?

Both. VIVELAB products aren't gendered, and the brand even sells an Active Biotin Peptide & Revi Solution Shampoo Set for the whole household. Choose by scalp type instead: oily, sensitive or damaged hair. For an itchy scalp, look at the Recovery Clinic Sensitive Scalp SOS Solution Hair Tonic and the Recovery Clinic Sensitive Scalp SOS Solution Essence.

Where can I buy VIVELAB in Europe?

You can shop VIVELAB shampoos, ampoules, lash serums and tools at Ma Petite Coree, in the VIVELAB collection, shipped from Seoul. The products also sit in our Hair, Shampoo and, for lash serums, Eye makeup categories.

Who is VIVELAB, the Korean scalp care brand?

VIVELAB (바이브랩) is a Korean brand of scalp, hair and lash care. It is run by Soonnoc ((주)순녹), a company based in Seoul. The brand says it grew out of a serious look at problem scalps, and sums up its goal in one line: "the optimal solution for scalp and hair". In Korea, VIVELAB sells mostly online, through its own site and its Naver store, with a range that runs from everyday shampoo to targeted ampoules, plus lash serums and a few massage tools.

VIVELAB lines and signature ingredients

Choosing your VIVELAB shampoo and scalp care

VIVELAB recommends patch-testing any new product on a small area and sticking with it for at least four weeks. Don't use Spioxyl ampoules on an irritated or broken scalp. Cosmetic advice, not medical advice: if your scalp stays irritated, see a dermatologist.

Shampoos and treatments are also listed under Hair and Shampoo, and lash serums under Eye makeup. For a complete routine, check out sets like the Spioxyl React Shot 400 & 600 Set or the Protein Plumper Repair 3-Piece Set, and massage tools like the Scalp & Volume Care Brush or the Scalp Care Wood Gua Sha. If you love Korean scalp care, also explore RYO, LILYEVE, SOLEP and DASHU.

What makes VIVELAB different

VIVELAB takes a science-first approach to scalp care. The brand says it picks actives backed by published research, looks for the right nutritional balance for the scalp and designs packaging that's easy to use on skin under the hair: nozzle bottles, pen ampoules, foam, spray. It has also built its own complexes. ActiveGrow BP7, the heart of the blue shampoo, blends biotin and seven peptides. According to the brand, Spioxyl pairs micro-spicules, natural needles far smaller than a pore, with brewer's yeast; the Spioxyl 400 came out in spring 2025. In Korea, several of the brand's shampoos and treatments are registered as "functional cosmetics", a Korean regulatory category; in Europe they remain cosmetics, with no medical claim.

Want to go further? The Scalp Spioxyl React Shot 400 is your entry point to the Spioxyl ampoules, and the Revive Therapy Hair Scalp Enhancing Foam gets massaged over the whole scalp after shampooing.
