Yes. MQNY is short for MACQUEEN NEW YORK, 맥퀸뉴욕 in Korean: both names refer to the same brand, and you'll often see them together on the packaging. Despite the name, MQNY is a Korean brand based in Seoul. It isn't linked to the British fashion house Alexander McQueen.
MQNY eyeliner review: is the Waterproof Pen Eyeliner worth it?
It's one of the products MQNY features in its own hero picks. The Waterproof Pen Eyeliner is a felt-tip liner with an ultra-fine, flexible tip that handles anything from a subtle lash line to a graphic cat eye. The waterproof formula stands up to water and oil. Three shades: Deep Black, Brown Black and Deep Brown.
Does MQNY waterproof eyeliner really last?
MQNY says its liners resist water, oil and rubbing. The Waterproof Pen Eyeliner dries quickly, and the Waterproof Pencil Gel Liner glides on like a gel, then sets within seconds. Wear also depends on your lids: if they're oily, let the line dry fully before you blink. Take it off with a cleansing oil or a bi-phase remover.
Which MQNY brow pencil should you choose?
MQNY makes three formats. The My Strong Eyebrow Pencil is a hard-lead pencil you sharpen, in six shades. The My Strong Auto Eyebrow Pencil is the twist-up version with a spoolie, in four shades. The My Gyeol Fit Tint Brow is a pen with a three-pronged tip that draws several fine hairs at once. Pick a shade close to your roots.
What's the difference between MQNY lip tints?
The Dewy Water Glow Lip Tint leaves a wet, see-through finish. The Dewy Water Blur Tint goes on watery and turns velvety. The Melting Blur Tint and Powder Blur Tint dry down to a blurred matte. The One Coat Fixing Lip Tint sets in one coat, and the Juicy Fit Tint stays glossy. All MQNY tints can be layered.
Which MQNY lip shades should you pick?
Each MQNY product has its own range: nine shades for the Dewy Water Glow Lip Tint, from nude mauve (Bare Mauve) to peach (Peach Dew), and seven for the Powder Matte Lipstick, from nude pink to brick red. For a natural look, go for a pink or peach close to your lip color; for more impact, a berry or a red. Every shade is listed on the product page.
Is MQNY good for sensitive skin?
MQNY doesn't market its makeup as hypoallergenic. If your skin or eyes react easily, check the ingredient list on the product page and patch test first before using a product around your eyes or on your lips. Does the MQNY Fake Up Hair Cover Stick dye your hair?
No. The MQNY Fake Up Hair Cover Stick isn't a hair dye: it's a pressed powder you dab on with a sponge to temporarily hide roots, gray hairs or a wide parting. It washes out with your next shampoo. Two shades: Natural Black and Dark Brown.

Who is MQNY?
MQNY (엠큐엔와이) is a Korean makeup brand. Its full name is MACQUEEN NEW YORK, 맥퀸뉴욕 in Korean, and you'll often see both names side by side on the packaging. Despite the New York name, MQNY is Korean through and through: it's run by Smiling Mind & Company (웃는생각컴퍼니), a cosmetics company founded in 2014 and based in Gangnam, Seoul.
MQNY describes itself as a makeup specialist. Its focus is eyes and lips: eyeliners, brow pencils and pens, eyeshadow palettes, lip tints, glosses and lipsticks. Around that core, the brand has added powders, a contour palette, a BB cream, sunscreens, a few skincare products and tools. In Korea, MQNY sells through its own online store, its Naver brand store and many beauty sites.
MQNY eyeliners, brows, lip tints and sun care: the ranges
The Waterproof range covers eyeliners. The Waterproof Pen Eyeliner is a felt-tip liner with an ultra-fine tip, in three black and brown shades. The Waterproof Pencil Gel Liner is a creamy gel pencil in ten shades that works as a liner, a smudged shadow or a bright touch under the eye.
The My Strong range is all about brows: the My Strong Eyebrow Pencil, a hard-lead pencil with a powdery finish, and the My Strong Auto Eyebrow Pencil, its twist-up version with a spoolie. The My Gyeol Fit Tint Brow rounds things out with a three-pronged tip. For lips, the Dewy Water range brings the wet-finish Dewy Water Glow Lip Tint and the velvety Dewy Water Blur Tint.
UV Daily is the sun care range: two SPF50+ PA++++ sticks, one powdery and one hydrating, plus a tinted SPF50+ PA+++ cream. Finally, Fake Up plays with shadow: the Fake Up 3 Color Shading to sculpt your face and the Fake Up Hair Cover Stick to temporarily cover roots and gray hairs.

MQNY makes everyday makeup that's easy to use.
