LABO-H Tonic Serum vs Roll-On Serum: what's the difference?
Both LABO-H treatments are leave-in. The Scalp Strengthening Tonic Serum sprays across your whole scalp through its nozzle, section by section. The Scalp Strengthening Roll-On Serum, a 15 ml roller, targets your hairline, temples and parting while it massages. You can use both.
Which LABO-H product is best for an oily scalp?
The LABO-H Cooling & No Sebum range is made for you. The Scalp Clarifying Cooling & No Sebum Shampoo, with micro-capsules, washes away excess oil and leaves a cool, fresh feel. Once or twice a week, add the Cooling & No Sebum Water Scaler before shampooing to clear oil and dead skin cells.
Does LABO-H make an anti-dandruff shampoo?
Yes. The LABO-H Anti-Dandruff Scalp Balance Shampoo combines climbazole and piroctone olamine, two anti-dandruff actives, with centella asiatica and ceramides. Massage it into wet hair, leave it on for two to three minutes, then rinse well.
Why use a LABO-H scalp sunscreen?
Your parting and crown catch the sun with no protection. The LABO-H UV Protector 365 range, launched in May 2026, covers them: the UV Protector 365 Scalp Roll-On Sun Serum SPF50+ rolls on without touching your hair and washes out with shampoo, and the UV Protector 365 Scalp Sun Mist SPF22 sprays over your scalp and lengths.
How do you use a LABO-H scalp scaler?
Use LABO-H scalers before shampooing, once or twice a week. Apply the Scalp Strengthening Scaler (sea salt grains) or the Cooling & No Sebum Water Scaler (water-light texture) section by section with the nozzle, massage for about two minutes, rinse, then wash your hair.
Do LABO-H shampoos help with hair loss?
In Korea, several LABO-H shampoos and treatments are registered as functional cosmetics for “relief of hair loss symptoms”, a category specific to Korean regulations. They're cosmetics, not medicines: they help keep your scalp clean, balanced and strong. If you're losing a lot of hair, see a doctor.
Is LABO-H vegan?
At launch in 2020, Amorepacific presented the LABO-H Scalp Strengthening Shampoo as a vegan-certified shampoo with no animal-derived ingredients or artificial fragrance. The PDRN in the range reworked in 2026 is vegan, according to the brand. Check each product page before you buy.

Who is LABO-H?
LABO-H (라보에이치 in Korean) is the scalp care brand of Amorepacific, the Korean beauty group. It launched in Korea in March 2020, and its name is short for “Laboratory of Hair”, a nod to the group's long track record in hair research.
The idea behind it is simple: your scalp is skin, so it deserves a daily routine just like your face. According to Amorepacific, the state of your scalp shifts with your environment and irregular eating habits, even if you wash your hair every day. So LABO-H built a full routine: shampoos, a leave-in tonic and serum, scalp scrubs and, since 2026, scalp sunscreens. In Korea, you'll find the brand at Olive Young.
Ranges and ingredients: from LABO-H shampoo to scalp sun care
Scalp Strengthening (두피강화클리닉) is the backbone of LABO-H. The Scalp Strengthening Shampoo has a mildly acidic pH and blends probiotics, ceramides, PDRN, biotin and caffeine. The Scalp Strengthening Tonic Serum sprays straight onto the roots through its nozzle and adds hyaluronic acid. The Scalp Strengthening Roll-On Serum, a 15 ml roller, targets the hairline, temples and parting, with collagen. The Scalp Strengthening Scaler pairs sea salt grains with AHA, BHA and PHA.
The Cooling & No Sebum range is made for oily scalps: the Scalp Clarifying Cooling & No Sebum Shampoo is a clear gel packed with micro-capsules that leaves a fresh, cool feel, while the Cooling & No Sebum Water Scaler has a grain-free, water-light texture with AHA, BHA, PHA and LHA. UV Protector 365, launched in May 2026, shields your scalp from the sun with a roll-on and a mist. Two more shampoos round out the brand: the Anti-Dandruff Scalp Balance Shampoo with climbazole and piroctone olamine, and the Sensitive Derma Shampoo with panthenol and madecassoside.

What makes LABO-H different
LABO-H grew out of ten years of Amorepacific research into the scalp and its microbiome. Its scientists found a fermented lactic acid bacteria lysate in green tea, which the brand says helps strengthen the scalp barrier. This patented probiotic sits at the heart of almost every formula: look for “Probiotics” printed on most bottles.
In 2026, the hero range was reworked around a “double barrier” approach: probiotics for the outer barrier, plus an ultra-low-molecular vegan PDRN and scalp ceramides that help hydrate from within. Textures are made for everyday use: a soft lather, a tonic that never feels greasy, and roller or nozzle applicators that put the product straight onto your scalp, section by section.
