You’ve surely heard “Cheer Up”, “TT” or “Fancy”. Since 2015, TWICE has released hit after hit and filled stadiums, from Seoul to Tokyo and North America. And after more than ten years, the nine girls are still here, together.

The 9 members of TWICE: who’s who?
TWICE has nine members, all there since the debut. Here are some landmarks so you never mix them up again, from the oldest to the youngest.

It all began in 2015 with Sixteen, a reality show on the Mnet channel organized by JYP Entertainment. The label’s trainees competed for a spot in its new girl group. The show kept seven, then Momo and Tzuyu were added at the end: TWICE would have nine members.
On October 20, 2015, the group debuted with the mini-album The Story Begins and the track “Like Ooh-Ahh”. In 2016, “Cheer Up” then “TT” made their popularity explode: TWICE won Song of the Year at the Mnet Asian Music Awards in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
Japan quickly became their second home, with three Japanese members in the group. In 2019, TWICE became the first Korean girl group to do a dome tour in Japan, with concerts in Osaka, Tokyo and Nagoya.
Then came the solo and sub-unit projects:
- June 2022Nayeon kicks things off with the EP IM NAYEON and “Pop!”.
- July 2023Momo, Sana and Mina launch MISAMO in Japan with the EP Masterpiece.
- August 2023Jihyo releases her solo EP ZONE.
- September 2024Tzuyu makes her debut with the EP abouTZU.
- June 2025Jeongyeon, Jihyo and Chaeyoung sing the end-credits version of “Takedown” in the Netflix film KPop Demon Hunters.
- September 2025Chaeyoung releases her solo album LIL FANTASY vol.1.
- October 2025For their 10th anniversary, TWICE releases the album Ten: The Story Goes On and the track “Me+You”.
The name “TWICE” was announced during the show Sixteen. It means the group touches the audience twice: once through the ears, with its music, and once through the eyes, with its performances.
Where is TWICE in 2026?
Launched in Incheon in July 2025, the This Is For world tour ended with three sold-out concerts at Seoul’s KSPO Dome, from July 10 to 12, 2026. In total: 81 concerts in 44 cities, in Asia, Oceania, North America and Europe.
Summer 2026 was also about contracts. The nine members had renewed with JYP in July 2022, and those contracts are coming to an end:
- August 10, 2026Jeongyeon leaves JYP and signs with Varo Entertainment, her sister’s agency. She makes it clear that TWICE remains her priority.
- August 13, 2026Chaeyoung in turn announces her departure from JYP, to develop her music under the LIL FANTASY banner. She also continues TWICE activities.
- October 2, 2026Nayeon releases “Bye Bye Inhibitions” with Brazilian DJ Alok, and performs it with him as a surprise on October 4 at EDC Korea, in Incheon.
For the other members, as of mid-October 2026, nothing is official: JYP only says that contract discussions are ongoing. Rumors are circulating, but remember the essentials: no breakup has been announced, and the two members who left JYP remain in the group. No new TWICE album has been officially announced yet; as soon as there is one, we’ll open the K-pop pre-orders.
