Have you heard of 3RACHA but aren’t quite sure who’s in it? You’re not alone. Behind this name is the creative heart of Stray Kids, the K-pop group from JYP Entertainment: nine No. 1 albums on the US Billboard 200, concerts in Japan’s big stadiums and domes and a distinctive, very energetic sound that they make largely themselves.

In this guide, we sum it all up simply: who’s who among the eight members, what 3RACHA really is, the group’s big milestones and what’s happening right now. And of course, we show you the official merch we have in stock in Seoul for STAY.

3RACHA: the trio that produces Stray Kids

3RACHA is Stray Kids’ production unit. It brings together three members: Bang Chan, Changbin and Han. Back when they were still JYP trainees, they worked under producer names: CB97 for Bang Chan, SpearB for Changbin and J.One for Han.

The trio started releasing its own tracks on SoundCloud in 2017, even before the group was officially formed. And it has never stopped: since the debut, 3RACHA has written, composed and produced a large part of Stray Kids’ songs. That’s rare in K-pop, where songs often come from outside composers, and it’s a source of great pride for fans.

You’ll sometimes see the name “3 Racha” written as two words: it’s the same thing. Just remember the simple rule: 3RACHA = Bang Chan + Changbin + Han.

From “District 9” to the Billboard charts: the story of Stray Kids

It all started in October 2017 with a reality show named after the group, Stray Kids. The twist: it was Bang Chan himself who selected the members from among JYP’s trainees. The group released a first Mixtape on January 8, 2018, then made its official debut on March 25, 2018. The EP I Am Not and its track “District 9” came out the next day.

According to the Korea JoongAng Daily, Stray Kids is the first artist whose first nine albums to chart on the Billboard 200 all debuted straight at number one. With these nine chart-toppers, they equal the Rolling Stones, and only the Beatles have done better among groups.

Did you know?

In 2026, researchers from LMU Munich named an insect fossil about 100 million years old, found in amber in Myanmar, after the group: Carcinonepa libererrantes. “Libererrantes” means “wandering children” in Latin, in other words… Stray Kids. Its pincers recall the group’s signature pose.

Where is Stray Kids in 2026?

It’s been a very busy year. On March 25, 2026, for the group’s eighth anniversary, Stray Kids released the single “별, 빛 (STAY)”, dedicated to the fans. In June, they headlined the Governors Ball festival in New York and released “Run It”, ahead of the EP This & That on August 7. According to the Korea Herald and the Korea JoongAng Daily, the EP passed 3.2 million copies sold in Korea in one week.

The Run It world tour kicked off on July 25, 2026 at the KSPO Dome in Seoul, before Japan’s big stadiums and domes. In September, the group also headlined Rock in Rio in Brazil. As of mid-October 2026, the next date is Fukuoka on October 24, then three nights at the Tokyo Dome from November 6 to 8, before Hong Kong, Taipei, Bangkok and Singapore through March 2027. No European dates have been announced so far, but the November 7 concert at the Tokyo Dome will be broadcast live in cinemas around the world (sometimes slightly delayed depending on the time zone). A Japanese EP, Suiatsu, is also planned for November 25.

The next Korean album doesn’t have a date yet. As soon as it’s announced, we’ll open pre-orders: keep an eye on our K-pop pre-orders.
