If you searched for “B.READY”, you probably came across its electric blue bottles. B.READY (say “bee-ready”) is a Korean brand that dared, back in 2019, to offer Korean makeup for men: a foundation, a powder, a lip balm… to look rested, not made up.
In this guide, we tell you where the brand comes from, what it offers today in skincare and sun protection, how to find your way around its lines and above all what to choose for your skin and your needs. We finish with a complete routine, from shaving to sunscreen.
B.READY: the story of the brand
B.READY was launched in September 2019 by Amorepacific, the big Korean beauty group.
Its target is very clear: young Gen Z men who are interested in makeup. The first products are a foundation in five shades, the Level Up Foundation For Heroes, and a Wake-Up Vitality lip balm with a red “B”-shaped core. From the start, the team films its own videos on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok to explain how men can wear makeup.
The foundation shades have a fun quirk: instead of numbers or color names, they carry men’s first names: Stone, Ryan, Jeffrey, Damien and Owen, numbered 01 to 05. You still find them today on the Blue Foundation and the Blue Cushion.
In January 2024, the brand launched its first skincare line, Cicaffeine Trouble Reset, with actor Lee Jung-ha (seen in the series Moving) as the face of the campaign. In April 2025, it released a sunscreen for sports, the Hydro Sweatproof, tested with a community of runners. And in May 2025, Amorepacific created a budget-friendly little sister, Prep by B.READY, sold at Daiso in Korea.
The B.READY philosophy: be ready, simply
The name says it all: “be ready”. Amorepacific now presents B.READY as its “total styling” brand for men: everything you need to look presentable fast, from cleanser to complexion to sunscreen. In practice, that means three things:
- Invisible makeup: products to even out the complexion, mattify shine or bring a little color back to the lips, without it showing.
- Easy skincare: few steps, light textures, formulas designed for skin that reacts to shaving, stress or lack of sleep.
- A community: the brand built its reputation on social media, listening to customer feedback to develop its products.
And even though B.READY speaks to men first, nothing stops a woman from using its skincare: the Cicaffeine line was in fact tested by a panel of men and women.

Here are the formulas to know to understand the brand.
Cicaffeine: beta-sitosterol and caffeine
The Cicaffeine Trouble Reset line is designed for skin that has become sensitive because of stress, lack of sleep or external aggressors. Amorepacific highlights beta-sitosterol to soothe and caffeine for pore care. The line’s serum, the Cicaffeine Trouble Reset Serum, was developed over about a year with Korean beauty creator Swan and around fifty testers with sensitive skin. The line also includes a toner, the Cicaffeine Trouble Reset Toner.
Blue: complexion and protection
Blue is the brand’s color, and it’s also the name of several lines. The Blue Foundation evens out the complexion in the shades Ryan, Jeffrey or Damien, the Blue Sebum Powder is a loose powder to mattify shine, and the Blue Moisture Sun Cream protects from the sun while moisturizing.
Hydro Sweatproof: the sports sunscreen
Launched in 2025, the Hydro Sweatproof Sunscreen is an SPF 50+ PA++++ sunscreen, water-resistant according to the brand’s tests. It combines organic and mineral filters in a light texture, with no white cast and no oil, with taurine, blue chamomile and hyaluronic acid. Designed for running, cycling or spending the day outdoors.
Wake-Up Vitality: the balm that brings back color
The Wake Up Vitality Lip Balm is one of the brand’s very first products. It contains jojoba esters and shea butter for soft lips, and its red “B”-shaped core gives the lips a subtle healthy glow.

- Even out (optional)A drop of Blue Foundation on redness, a touch of Blue Sebum Powder on your forehead and nose.
In the evening
- CleanseThe oil-to-foam cleanser, massaging well to remove sunscreen and foundation.
- SootheThe Cicaffeine toner, then the serum.
- MoisturizeYour usual cream, and the Wake Up Vitality balm on your lips.
Our tips for using B.READY well
- Start small with foundation: one drop, applied only where it helps (redness, dark circles, uneven areas), then blended with your fingertips toward the beard.
- Choose your shade near the jawline: the right shade disappears on the skin. If you hesitate between two, take the lighter one.
- Powder only on the T-zone: forehead, nose and chin, where skin gets shiny during the day.
- Reapply sunscreen: every two hours outdoors, and after a big workout or a swim.
- Cleanse well at night: as soon as you wear sunscreen or foundation, a proper evening cleanse is essential.
B.READY products are cosmetics: they help soothe and keep a clean complexion, but they don’t replace a treatment. Test a new product on a small area, especially after shaving. If your skin stays red, itches or inflammatory breakouts set in, ask a dermatologist for advice.
In Seoul, many men don’t really “wear makeup”: they rely on sunscreen every morning, a touch of foundation on redness before an important moment, and a lightly tinted lip balm. The result: a rested look, without anyone guessing why.
