Maybe you’ve seen it in a K-drama or tucked into a friend’s bag: the KAHI Wrinkle Bounce Multi Balm is the little pink stick, a skincare stick released in Korea in May 2020. You swipe it over your face like a lipstick, without using your fingers, even over makeup.
Behind this stick is a still young brand, KAHI, which has since expanded its range: eye care, sun sticks, caviar creams, cleansers… In this guide, we explain where it comes from, what’s really in its multi balm, how to find your way through its lines and where to start depending on your skin.
The story of KAHI
KAHI was launched in 2020 in South Korea by Korea Tech (코리아테크), a company headed by Lee Dong-yeol. The formulas are developed with Cosmax, one of the big Korean cosmetics manufacturers. The first product, the Wrinkle Bounce Multi Balm, came out in May 2020, in the middle of the pandemic.
Actress Kim Go-eun, the face of the brand, used the stick on screen in the series The King: Eternal Monarch (2020) and Yumi’s Cells (2021). Koreans quickly nicknamed it “Kim Go-eun’s multi balm”. The stick also appeared in a music video by American singer Doja Cat. The result: in about a year and a half, it passed 10 million units sold, according to the Korean business press.
KAHI then went international. From the second half of 2023, the brand has sold directly on Amazon in the United States, where the stick took 1st place among new releases in its category. In January 2026, it was still 8th in facial skincare on Amazon US. In 2025, KAHI also added cleansers to its range: cleansing balms and an oil.
The KAHI philosophy: easy skincare, anywhere
The brand’s name says it all. 가히 (KAHI) combines ㄱ and ㅏ, the first consonant and first vowel of the Korean alphabet, with ㅎ and ㅣ, the last consonant and last vowel. The brand links this to King Sejong, who created hangeul so that everyone could learn it easily: the idea is that taking care of your skin should be just as simple.
In practice, that means three things:
- The stick format: a product that fits in your pocket and that you apply in a few seconds, at the office or on the subway.
- Easy-to-spot actives: salmon for the Wrinkle Bounce line, caviar for the CV and Cavi Blue lines.
- Skincare over makeup: the sticks glide over your base without moving it, for a boost of radiance or a sunscreen touch-up.
The KAHI Wrinkle Bounce Multi Balm, the brand’s key product
This is the product that started it all. The Wrinkle Bounce Multi Balm is a 9 g stick balm with a melting texture that you swipe over areas lacking comfort: cheekbones, forehead, smile lines, around the lips, and even the neck. It leaves a luminous finish, without a greasy film, and helps keep skin supple and nourished throughout the day.

Each KAHI line is built around one main ingredient. Here are the ones to know.
The salmon trio: collagen, PDRN and proteoglycan
This is the brand’s signature. The multi balm combines three ingredients derived from salmon: a small-size collagen for suppleness, PDRN (salmon DNA, also found in other Korean skincare products) for elasticity, and proteoglycan for hydration. You’ll find them in the Wrinkle Bounce Multi Balm.
Fermented Jeju oil
The stick’s other pillar: a fermented oil from Jeju Island (the packaging says “With JEJU Origin Oil”). It gives the balm its slippery texture and helps limit the skin’s water loss. It’s paired with shea butter and squalane for nourishment.
The caviar of the CV and Cavi Blue lines
For its richer version, KAHI uses an in-house active, KFILLEN, obtained by fermenting beluga caviar and dosed at 1% in the CV sticks. You’ll find it in the Eye Balm CV and the Multi Balm CV. The Cavi Blue line takes caviar oil even further, as in the Cavi Balm.
Adenosine, niacinamide and hyaluronic acid
These are the “classic” actives of Korean skincare, found in several KAHI products. Adenosine targets the look of wrinkles, niacinamide helps even out skin tone and hyaluronic acid holds water in the skin. The Eye Balm brings them together for the eye area.
The plant oils in the cleansers
For makeup removal, the Heat Deep Cleansing oil blends avocado, calendula and fermented centella: it removes makeup and leaves skin soft, without a tight feeling.

Which KAHI for your skin?
Pick your need: we give you our favorite product, plus two others to round it out.
Wrinkles and loss of firmness
Go for a rich cream at night and a targeted ampoule: consistency is what counts, not quantity.
Eye area and firmness
The skin around the eyes is thin: a dedicated stick, patted on, avoids pulling at it. For a caviar version, there’s also the Eye Balm CV.
Dry skin and dull complexion
A gel cream in the morning for radiance, a sleeping mask and a rich emulsion for comfort: your skin should stay soft all day.
Sun protection on the go
An SPF stick in your bag is the way to top up your protection during the day without ruining your makeup.

Our tips for using KAHI well
- Warm the stick up on your skin: do two or three slow back-and-forth swipes, and the texture melts and glides better.
- The multi balm doesn’t replace your cream: it’s an on-the-go extra, to use on top of your routine.
- Over makeup, pat rather than rub: you keep your base intact and just add radiance.
- One stick per sensitive area: keep the Eye Balm for the eyes and the Multi Balm for the rest of the face, for hygiene.
- Clean the tip from time to time with a clean tissue, especially if you use it over makeup.
- Sunscreen is still a must: an SPF stick is for touch-ups, but the first layer in the morning should be generous.
KAHI products are cosmetics: they help keep skin supple and comfortable, but don’t replace medical advice. If your skin is very reactive, irritated, or if you have a concern, ask a dermatologist for advice. And always test a new product on a small area first.
In Seoul winters, keep a multi balm in your bag: one swipe on the cheekbones and around the lips before heading out into the cold, and your skin stays comfortable all day.
