TORRIDEN Korean brand: the guide to the Dive-In range and its skincare

A clear blue bottle, a serum that looks like water, and a reputation that has made the rounds on social media: that’s often how people discover TORRIDEN. But where does the brand actually come from? TORRIDEN is indeed a Korean brand, young, low-key, and in just a few years it has become a go-to name for hydration in Korea.

TORRIDEN Korean brand: its story

TORRIDEN was created in 2015 in South Korea. The company, Torriden Co., Ltd. (주식회사 토리든 in Korean), is run by Kwon In-gu and Lee Yoon-hee. One small detail: its headquarters and laboratory aren’t in Seoul, but in Daejeon, a big city in the center of the country known for its research centers. The brand also has an office in Seoul.

The real takeoff came with a single product: the Dive-In low molecular weight hyaluronic acid serum. In 2019, it won two awards on Hwahae, the Korean app where people rate their cosmetics: best new serum of the first half of the year, then no. 1 in the essences, ampoules and serums category at the 2019 Hwahae Beauty Awards. For such a young brand, that was a huge spotlight.

Then TORRIDEN left Korea. In August 2025, it arrived at Sephora in the United States, in more than 400 stores and online, with a pop-up in New York to celebrate. As of mid-October 2026, the Dive-In range remains the heart of the brand: the serum and the soothing cream are still among the top sellers listed by the brand on its US website.

The TORRIDEN philosophy: “5D” and layered hydration

Many Korean brands bet on a favorite plant. TORRIDEN has a more technical obsession: getting the active to the right place. Its slogan, “Deep dive into your skin”, sums up the idea. In practice, that means three principles:

• “5D”: each range combines its main active in five forms or five sizes. For example, five sizes of hyaluronic acid, five ceramides or five centella ingredients.
• Few actives, but well chosen: the brand describes itself as “ingredient-focused”, with simple formulas, one range per need.
• Gentle formulas: light textures, skin-tested formulas and, according to the brand, no animal-derived ingredients and no animal testing.

5D hyaluronic acid: the Dive-In range

This is the ingredient that started it all. TORRIDEN combines five sizes of hyaluronic acid molecules: from the largest to the smallest, each one hydrates at its own level, on the skin’s surface. The Dive-In serum adds panthenol and allantoin, two actives that help soothe.

Ceramides: the Solid-In range

For skin that feels tight, the Solid-In range relies on a complex of five ceramides (NP, NS, AS, EOP and AP). Ceramides are lipids naturally present in the skin: they help strengthen the skin barrier and retain hydration. You’ll find them in the Solid In 5D Multi Ceramide cream.

Centella: the Balanceful range

Centella asiatica (cica) is the go-to plant for sensitive skin in Korea. The Balanceful serum brings together five centella-derived ingredients (including madecassoside and asiaticoside) to soothe visible redness. The brand also presents it as non-comedogenic.

Low molecular weight collagen: Cellmazing

For firmness, the Cellmazing range uses low molecular weight collagen, combined with hyaluronic acid. The Cellmazing Firming Cream aims for bouncier, smoother skin.

Vitamin C in five forms: Cellmazing Vita C

Our tips for using TORRIDEN well

• Apply the Dive-In serum on still-damp skin, right after toner: hyaluronic acid loves water.
• Always a cream on top: a hydrating serum alone isn’t enough to keep water in the skin, especially in winter.
• Toner in several layers: two or three thin layers, patted in, rather than one big dose.
• A Dive-In sheet mask, like the Dive In Mask, once or twice a week when your skin is tired.
• Vitamin C in the morning, sunscreen a must: the two go together.
• One new product at a time, tested first on a small area, so you know what really suits your skin.
