REJURAN: the Korean PDRN skincare brand, explained simply

You’ve probably seen the word PDRN everywhere these past few months, and with it one brand: REJURAN. In Korea, everyone knows the name, because it’s first and foremost the name of a treatment done in clinics. But the REJURAN brand you find at our shop is cosmetics: serums, creams, toners and masks to use at home.

In this guide, we explain simply where REJURAN comes from, what its c-PDRN really contains, how to find your way around its lines, and above all where to start for your skin. No miracle promises: just what you need to know to choose well.

The story of REJURAN

Behind REJURAN is PharmaResearch, a Korean pharmaceutical laboratory based in Gangneung, a city on the east coast. Its specialty since the 1990s: extracting and purifying salmon DNA to turn it into ingredients. To do this, the company developed its own patented technology, DOT (for “DNA Optimizing Technology”).

To understand the name, we need to talk about Rejuran Healer. Launched in Korea in 2014, it’s an aesthetic medicine procedure: an injection done in a clinic, by a doctor, with an ingredient called PN (polynucleotide). This treatment was the first to carry the REJURAN name. We mention it here only to explain the brand’s origin: REJURAN cosmetics are not injections and don’t have the same effects.

The skincare line came next. By 2017, REJURAN cosmetics were already sold in Korea in clinics, and the brand opened its own online store to reach the general public. Its first big success: the Turnover Ampoule, a c-PDRN serum that is still its signature product today.

Since then, REJURAN has been exporting. In March 2026, the brand arrived at Sephora in the United States, in about 380 stores, then at Sephora Canada in September 2026. As of mid-October 2026, the Turnover Ampoule and the Dual Effect remain its two signature products.

The REJURAN philosophy: lab science, applied to skin

REJURAN presents itself as a dermo-cosmetic brand: skincare designed by a laboratory, around an ingredient it masters from A to Z. In practice, that means three things:

• A single common thread: c-PDRN is found in almost every formula, from toner to sunscreen.
• Easy-to-read formulas: a simple moisturizing base (glycerin, panthenol, hyaluronic acid), and familiar actives depending on the line.
• Light textures, designed to layer easily in a Korean routine, morning and evening.

Style-wise, it’s understated: silver or gold bottles, a small turquoise leaf as a logo, and no busy packaging. The products sit rather in the premium range, with sizes designed to last.

The key REJURAN ingredients

All REJURAN lines revolve around c-PDRN, but each product combines it with other actives. Here are the ones to know.

c-PDRN, the signature ingredient

PDRN (polydeoxyribonucleotide) is made of purified DNA fragments, extracted from salmon cells. c-PDRN is REJURAN’s cosmetic version, with smaller fragments than the PN used in clinics. In skincare, it’s appreciated for its moisturizing effect and for the comfort it brings to tired skin. To discover it in a simple formula, start with the Turnover Ampoule, which lists 0.5% c-PDRN.

Niacinamide and adenosine

This duo is the big difference of the Dual Effect: niacinamide helps even out the look of the complexion, and adenosine helps reduce the appearance of fine lines. That’s why we recommend it for skin that wants an “all-in-one” serum.

Hyaluronic acid and panthenol

They’re the base of almost every REJURAN formula. Hyaluronic acid helps retain water in the skin, and panthenol (provitamin B5) brings softness. You’ll find them, for example, in the Healer Nutritive Cream and in the Rebalancing toner.

Centella and ceramides

Centella asiatica (and its extract, madecassoside) is a great Korean classic for skin lacking comfort. Ceramide NP helps strengthen the skin barrier. Both are in the Turn Over Ampoule Dual Effector, in addition to c-PDRN.

In the morning

Our tips for using REJURAN well

• One ampoule at a time: no need to layer Turnover and Dual Effect, choose the one that suits your skin.
• Test before adopting: apply a new product to a small area for a few days before using it on your whole face.
• Apply on slightly damp skin: c-PDRN serums spread better and skin stays more comfortable.
• Pads are for the morning: one swipe is enough, without rubbing.
• Keep up the sunscreen every day: no serum replaces good protection.
• Be consistent: a cosmetic is judged after several weeks of use, not after three days.
